High School College Counseling
Veritas Christian Academy employs a College Counselor to assist students in selecting the college or university that best coincides with their goals and future aspirations. In the ninth grade, students begin working with the College Counselor and in the tenth grade, they participate in the Sophomore College Trip. This trip allows students to visit a variety of institutions of higher learning, large and small, public and private. They also have the opportunity to meet admissions directors and to ask specific questions concerning the admissions process and the college/university experience.
Our College Counselor maintains contact with parents and students through one-on-one and group meetings. Students are apprised of scholarship opportunities, college fairs, financial assistance, and directed to colleges/universities that fit the goals and needs expressed by the students and their parents.
