Each Fall, our seniors begin working on their senior thesis project, first researching different topics and then selecting a topic to present. Seniors have two faculty/staff advisors who serve as sounding boards and editors throughout the process. Seniors work through their papers for weeks, carefully developing their main points and crafting their arguments in respect to their thesis statement. Beginning in January, each senior will be scheduled to present their thesis to the Chair of the Board, along with the Head of School, Upper School Principal, Lower School Principal, classmates, family members and friends. Once they have presented their paper, the student is then questioned for around 20 minutes by the school administrators who are seeking to engage the student in the highest level of rhetorical conversation possible.
