Veritas Civitas Program

A Christian Classical Education Model for Homeschool Students

The Veritas Civitas Program will Open the Door of Opportunity to…

  • Social Enrichment as you interact with students, faculty, and staff throughout the week and school year at Veritas.

  • Collaborative Learning in several Logic and Rhetoric school classes is highly engaging and involves seminars and academic coaching as you learn to develop the habits of thinking Christianly.

  • Community Involvement with several school-wide events including Serveathon, a service project where students serve other non-profit community organizations in our local community for an entire school day; we are a part of a competitive and cooperative athletic conference which allows for fellowship among other student-athletes; Within our own community, spirit buddies are assigned to foster relationships between our Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric divisions; Also within our own school community, Logic School reading partners are assigned to Grammar School students to promote a connection between the Literature programs in the Grammar and Logic school division as well as to promote relationships.

  • Athletic Participation is open to all homeschool students registered for a minimum of two classes at our academy. A student must also provide transcripts or enrollment documents to certify all of their course work to ensure “full-time” status between Veritas and homeschool. Students may not miss more than 4 classes per semester of any course taken at Veritas Christian Academy in order to receive credit for the course. Appeals due to a major medical condition supported by a physician letter may be presented to the Headmaster for consideration.

  • Friendship with students in your classes and mentorship with excellent faculty, staff, and administration.

Duties of Veritas Civitas

Students and Parents

All prospective students will be screened and tested through our normal admissions process and parents will be interviewed to determine if Veritas is a good fit.

All homeschool students and parents are bound by the most current Veritas Christian Academy Parent/Student Handbook. This includes day to day dress codes.

All homeschool students must take at least two classes and cannot take more than three. If interested in more than three classes, please speak with Mrs. Buffey Smith about enrolling as a full-time Veritas student.

Upon acceptance to the program, students will meet with an academic advisor to select courses.

There is a $175 registration fee and the cost is $775 per semester.

*Please note that there are fees associated with certain classes. This information is available upon request.
