The Bible is filled with festivals, Holy days, and divinely blessed celebrations. The God of Scriptures is a God who calls His people together in community to celebrate. We are called to celebrate His presence, His provisions, and the goodness of living in community as His people. There were too many servants to name individually to thank. I do know that there were many words of appreciation offered during the time together. There were also too many edifying conversations to list. I will say that the gist from many was about how wonderfully positive and encouraging the evening was and how much people were enjoying getting to know one another with all the new folks in the Veritas community.
This past Friday, September 10, between 5:30-7:30 p.m. was a most festive and delightful time at Veritas Christian Academy. If you were among the more than five hundred present, you know what I am saying. This is the best attended event we have had in many years at Veritas. Together we enjoyed as we watched our Warrior teams all pull off a victory in soccer and volleyball competitions.
Delicious food, edifying music, fun games, volunteer sign-up spearheaded by our PTF, and joyful conversations--all the essence of festivity. PTF recorded a solid number of folks who signed-up to serve this school year in their service campaign. Many records were set this year with our record attendance, but what matters most at a gathering such as this is the sweet, gracious, and encouraging spirit. God is good and so are His people. There was a most joyous spirit that was the real sign that we are in a wonderful place this school year. Thank you all for being part of a grand beginning of the school year at Veritas.
